JUVÉDERM is a hyaluronic acid based facial filler that is completely bio-compatible and synthesized rather than of animal origin. It is designed to soften the signs of aging by physically filling in skin volume deficiency, but also by acting as a source of internal skin hydration. JUVÉDERM injections can be used to treat facial lines and wrinkles, augment contours such as the jaw line or the cheek bones, or enhance the appearance of lip fullness.
JUVÉDERM treatment is very safe, and even beneficial to your skin. Prior to being approved as a cosmetic injectable filler, hyaluronic acid injections have been used to induce tissue healing after cataract surgery, and as an analgesic remedy for knee joint pain. At Laser Aesthetics of Colorado, we create a unique treatment plan for each of our Centennial JUVÉDERM patients to help them experience the best possible results.
Candidates for JUVÉDERM
- Patients seeking an improved contour to their face, especially by improving the appearance of facial lines and the lips
- Patients seeking a rejuvenated appearance without a surgical procedure
- Patients with smile lines, marionette lines, lip lines or sunken cheeks
JUVÉDERM is FDA approved for use in lifting and enhancing areas of the face including the cheeks, and it is also commonly used to combat the appearance of marionette lines. It is the only filler of it’s type that lasts up to one year with optimal treatment, and it has been studied and proven effective in all skin types. JUVÉDERM injections are very safe, with potential side effects both minor and temporary. Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling and discoloration.
How JUVÉDERM is Administered
After thoroughly cleansing the treatment site, JUVÉDERM is injected into the skin using a very thin needle. The results of the injection are immediately noticeable and the long-term result will be realized once any bruising or swelling has subsided. The treatment takes about 15-20 minute from start to finish and our Centennial JUVÉDERM patients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
